The 2018 W.S. 'Pete' White Innovation in Engineering Education Award

Given by the Virginia Tech College of Engineering for the contribution to the Computer Science curriculum with the creation of the CS3714 Apple Mobile Software Development and CS3754 Cloud Software Development courses and for the "Learning by Examples" and "hands-on" pedagogy.

ACM SIGSIM Distinguished Contributions Award

The SIGSIM Distinguished Contributions Award recognizes individuals based on their overall contributions to the field of modeling and simulation, including technical innovations, publications, leadership, teaching, mentoring, and service to the community.

The recipient of the Award receives a plaque and a honorarium of $1500.
